80's Collection - (Berlin) - This is "Masquerade". Named for the song by the group 'Berlin' (1982) featuring Terri Nunn on vocals. I wanted to create another tomato to represent the group 'Berlin' because my first Berlin-themed tomato was... umm.... controversial. ("Sex... I'm a)" . As for this tomato, several seasons ago I was working on a purple version of this cross that I named "Spellbound". I had been waiting for a chocolate version to appear. While in the "green" stage, I had no idea if a different variant would appear. As it started to ripen it 'revealed' itself as the new variant I had been waiting for. The 'Masquerade' was over."Masquerade" has the same tomato characteristics (size, texture, production) as "Spellbound" but with a yellow epidermis versus the clear epidermis. You can see the "Spellbound" post from 2 days ago. This is a New Release variety coming soon (this Summer).
