Duran Duran Collection - Early to Mid-season indeterminate regular leaf plants produce loads of 6-12 oz bicolor heart shaped fruits with antho tops. They have great flavor and are one of my heaviest producing varieties. These take a long time to fully ripen. Thus, they transition through several stages of flavor. You can harvest them when the background is yellow-to-gold and they will have a tangy flavor with a bit of underlying sweetness. My favorite stage of flavor is when the background begins to show a bit of pink streak blushing. This stage, the flavor is a balance of sweetness, fruitiness and acidity. At a fully ripe to over ripe stage the sweetness will slightly override the acidity. but the flavor is still pronounced.
